There are some bizarre examples of how some Christians seek "guidance." One mission worker boldly told me that his fiancee had "laid a fleece" before the Lord as to whether he should continue in missions. The "fleece" was that if she won a competition (the prize was a new car) then they would know that God wanted him to continue in missionary work! | |
